Yay! It's August which means I'm ready to take custom order requests for 2016. I'm only accepting EIGHT new projects for the year because I'm working on my children's book (!!!). So here we go!
HOW TO SECURE A CUSTOM ILLUSTRATION
- Between August 14 - August 20, submit your request using the form at the bottom of the page.
- I will follow up with any questions and a quote for the illustration.
- Upon receipt of the quote, you have 48 hrs to secure the order by placing a $45 deposit.
- Once I receive the deposit, consider your spot secured and we'll start collaborating in 2016.
THINGS TO NOTE
- I'm only accepting requests between August 14 - August 20. This gives you time to think about the illustration--i.e. the size, medium, concept, deadline--and gather photo references for me to use. Everything is on a first come, first serve basis. If you're unsure about what you want, that's okay! But we still need to establish certain details like size, medium and your ideal deadline.
- I will start painting in March 2016, and I will need at least two months to work on an illustration. Please keep this time frame in mind when submitting your request.
- Your spot is not secured until a deposit is paid. If you don't pay the $45 deposit within the 48-hour window, I will offer the spot to the next requester.
- I like to approach these paintings as a collaborative process, and it's natural for ideas to change and grow.Please don't feel like we need to stick to your initial idea however changes to the original idea may affect the original quote.
PRICING
Everything will be priced on a case by case basis depending on size, complexity, medium, and quantity. For example, pencil drawings cost less than watercolor & ink paintings. One character costs less than multiple ones. An illustration based on existing illustrations in my retail collection (e.g. your own version of clink) costs less than completely unique and personalized paintings. I also offer a discount for multiple illustrations.
The base prices:
- 5" x 7" illustrations - start at $350
- 8" x 10" illustrations - start at $500
- 11" x 14" illustrations - start at $800
I'll update this section once the eight spots are filled, and offer the next six requesters a spot on the wait list should anything come up.
